This morning, much to Lydia's dismay, the internet decided to stop working until they had left. :-P So I was commissioned to share the latest developments...
Dad, Ellie and Lydia took off for Manitoba... they're trying to find a place for us to rent before the baby arrives. They are planning on being gone for a week. But you never know. :-) In that time, we who are left at home will be trying to pack, clean and get everything ready. Yours truly is much better, but will still have to take it easy... so I guess I get to act as queen. :-P :-)
For her followers: I can safely say that Lydia will miss you all. But she'll be back before you know it! :-)

Spitz
This morning Jesse was telling us a story about a couple of our friends in Alberta. I guess Stefen and Graham were out fencing when they came across this old van. They found some Spitz sunflower seeds inside and so both of them popped a handful in their mouths. As they're chewing away Graham says, "That's funny, these act like their already shelled!" At that comment, Stefen spit his whole mouthful out! Graham didn't catch on for a bit then he realized too.... These weren't sunflower seeds, it was mouse leavings! Yuck!!!

The FAR, FAR, NORTH, here!!!
Last night when we went to church I found out that we really do live in the 'Far North'! Across the street in someone's back yard there was a cow moose and her calf from last year! Wow!
Today we went and cleaned the church, and while on our way home, us kids were talking about how we tell different people's cars apart. When we came to one friend from Sask who plays the upright bass, I added that he would have a bass in the back seat of his car. Ellie had to come up with something so she says, "So does Ernie Haase!" She had us puzzled there for a while... but finally we got it! LOL!
One time Hannah brought some Hershey chocolate into Naomi's room and after she had given it to her, she said, "If you need more I have half a bag of kisses." Needless to say, that got us laughing!!

Hi Annoying!
Well our friends got our computer up and running again, (it had crashed), so I'm back!
Dad, Jesse, and Zeke went up to Manitoba, Canada to look for land. They got back a couple of days ago. Dad liked what he saw and now we are looking for a rental up there. I'm looking forwards to getting back into farming/ranching country again. It's more ranching where Dad and the boys were looking.
So for a laugh.... last night Naomi was chatting with some friends and she had to leave for a while so she stuck me on. Well one of her friends wanted to chat one to one, and so when he said "Hi!" I replied, "Hi Annoying!" Of course he then knew who I was (we're friends on facebook), so he called me the 'radiant one', and said that I was full of youth and beauty. I replied, "Thank you, 'kind sir' ". And he said I had a sarcastic tone in my voice! I can't believe it!!! Well maybe I did... But... who is Klaus to tell me?! LOL!
My school is coming along and I should finish by May this year. And by finish I mean FINISH! I'm excited! School isn't my favourite thing to do, but what has to be done, has to be done, eh?!
I'm listening to EHSS sing If This Is What God Wants. A very meaningful song! It's good!
G'day for now!

At the gate of where we board our horses! McGinnis Valley Ranch.
The road had lots of switchbacks!
I was ponying Millie (Hannah's filly).
Ellie, Dad, and Zeke. Dad is ponying Al, because he just had bucked Zeke off.

Banjo joke!
I just read this banjo joke off of Steve Kaufman's website (www.flatpik.com), and thought it was funny!
Did you hear about the bass player new to town, who was short on money for housing that he rented an outhouse? To help out, he sublet the basement to a banjo player!
I just about died laughing! :-)
Have a great day!

Hmmmm....
So I spend all day trying to think up something funny to post, and I come up with nothing! Bummer! I guess I'll just have to think harder..... hmmmm.... hmmmmm..... hmmmmmmm......
Okay, this happened a long time ago, but...
I was riding my QH/Arabian gelding and was trying to get him to jump a small jump. I was riding with a halter and one rein and he didn't want to go over the jump! So I'm leaning forward and flipping the rope over his head, trying to keep him headed towards the jump. Well one time I was leaning forwards to flip the rope and all the sudden Zayn decided to jump! Jump he did! I was riding in a western saddle (not the best for jumping in!) and with being in a very bad position for a jump! I landed in front of the saddle, feet still in the stirrups! My brother, Jesse just about died laughing!
Another time I ended up behind the saddle on Alpache (the horse I have now), when he slipped and sat down. I couldn't figure out what was wrong when he got back up. It all happened so fast. I found that I was sitting behind the saddle!
Today Ellie and I were out walking/jogging, it was all foggy, making it hard to see very far in front of you. Well we're jogging along and all the sudden Ellie says, "CAR!!", well I hadn't seen the car and boy did I jump acrossed the road! Ellie and I just giggled like crazy! The people in the car didn't seem very amused. ???
Hope this made you at least giggle/chuckle!

God is sooo wonderful!!!
Todays sermon was really good!!! I was truly blessed!!! It was about the wonderfulness of being saved!!! God is sooo GOOD! I am saved and NOTHING can take it away from me. I am speechless about what He has done for me! I know the story, but every time I hear it again thankfulness just washes over me! I am so indebted to Jesus, the least I can do is worship and praise Him!
A very happy Lydia
