For this God is our God...

Last night I was reading a Psalm before I went to bed and one verse really caught my attention.
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. Psalm 48:14
It is yet another one of God's assurances that he is guiding all our steps throughout this life. I love how it says 'For this God is our God..' that means a lot to me. And I believe it should mean a lot to every Christian. The guiding part also helped me to relax about everything that is happening around me right now. Being away from my family for the first time is a little scary at times, Dad and Mom aren't right beside me to say 'go for it' or 'I wouldn't if I were you'. The first time I walked into the church I was pretty much shaking in my boots, there's always been someone of my family there with me. Or at least a friend. This couple of weeks has been good for me though, I've been doing a lot of praying when ever I'm not sure about something or am afraid. It's amazing how just a little bump out of the normal can get you to start praying and really seeking God's help.
God never fails us and he is ever so faithful to his sheep. A song that a southern gospel quartet, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, sings says, 'Let come what may, from day to day. My heavenly Father watches o'over me.... I trust in God, I know He cares for me...' Totally says that I'm trying to say. :-) Thank you Lord for watching over us!
Smiles and hugs everyone! Have a wonderful time with the warm fall weather we've been getting.

  1. Awesome post. :) I could say you've been through some bumps lately. I'm glad you're not completely "alone" there. You have John and Vicki. :)

  2. Is this Naomi my sister? Cause another Naomi asked for my email earlier, and I assumed it was Naomi W. I'm going to get confused. :-)

By the way, I will be coming home tomorrow, so once I am a bit rested up, I would love to see you again, if it works! :)
